It’s always fun to look at a dot-2-dot before beginning to see if I can guess what the finished picture will be. Sometimes it’s obvious but with more dots on the page, the bigger the challenge it is. Over the years I have learned firsthand how much the circumstances and seasons of our lives resemble a dot-2-dot.  A dot-2-dot designed by God himself and I’m pretty sure it goes without saying that the final picture will pretty much be impossible to guess ahead of time.   I suppose it can be frustrating at times though; not having all the answers before you must walk through the “stuff” of life. But if I am being honest, I have come to love looking back at certain circumstances both good and bad and asking God to show me His dots in my life that I may have missed along the way. Every time, He willingly shows me some (not always all) of those dots and it can be one of the simplest and astounding aha moments I get to experience again and again. In this book, I get to share with you a story that is just that. Three days after having our fifth baby, I fell into septic shock, my husband learned how to be a stay-at-home dad overnight, and God walked us through an experience that would forever change our lives. It was an experience where I faced the darkest moments of my entire life only to look back and see first-hand how God took what the enemy meant as evil and turned it to good... Dot-2-Dot. Since putting words to paper, I have often caught myself wondering, what makes my story any more significant than someone else’s? And the truth is, it isn’t. It isn’t any more significant than your story but it’s not any less significant either. Although Dot-2-Dot was written from a personal experience, it is not meant to be about me or my family. It is meant to be about Him, and it is meant to be about you. I pray that as you read, your eyes are open to Him in a whole new way, and perhaps you too will stand boldly proclaiming the gospel without fear and sharing the story He gives you to tell. We don’t need to have it all figured out, all we must do is follow Him, Dot...to...Dot, as we trust that whatever the picture is when He is done, it is good.        Because He is good.
